Max-Traps was started in the spring of 2003 after a local sporting goods store changed hands. |
| Max-Traps offers two different tip-ups. |

The first is "The Max". It is a 29 inch tip-up which features a drag control reel, a flag guide which will hold the flag in place on a windy day so there will be no wind flags, a trip tube filled with a lithium grease to water proof and also to prevent freeze up. On the flag guide is a hole for your hook to be placed at the end of the fishing day. |

The second tip-up is "The Angler". It is a 25 inch tip-up with the same features as "The Max". The wood for these tip ups is native White Ash which is harvested and sawed locally. |
